DESIGN QUESTION

How might we build an interactive community and encourage lively discussion through public channels and live activity feeds?

Design Question
THE PROBLEM

The current UT Dallas public channel feed utilized simplistic interface design, for students to share and communicate with others. However, the minimalistic interface in channel feed makes it difficult for users to engage in a lively discussion with others.

BACKGROUND RESEARCH

In order to find direct user feedback and identify pain points, I decided to interview current UT Dallas students for their insights.

Due to time restrictions, I was only able to interview two current UT Dallas students to get their opinion on the current public channel feed design.

RETROSPECTIVE

The UT Dallas app is designed for students to connect with others and stay involved in the community. When using the app to interact with other students on public feed, I often struggle with keeping up with important information or information overload. In this 4 days design sprint project, I was able to identify the problem and develop a viable design solution. I noticed that by adding a few simple features could smoothen the digital experience by having an convience layout.
